Inclusion Through Action

At Ryman Hospitality Properties, we give each other permission to bring our whole selves to the workplace. OPEN was conceived in 2021 by RHP’s employee-led Diversity Council to foster inclusiveness, celebrate individuality, and empower teammates to grow, together. From behind the scenes to the big stage, we are strengthening a culture that embraces new ideas and shared experiences to create positive change. We are OPEN.

OPEN PROGRAMS

WHAT WE ARE DOING

  • Connecting with Youth

We have increased our presence and partnerships with local high schools and universities to encourage and inspire the next generation of leaders to pursue careers in hospitality and entertainment.

  • Engaging Community

We have established new relationships with diverse Nashville-area community groups as we recruit for open positions.

  • Industry Dialogue

We have developed an Artist Advisory Panel to better understand perceptions related to diversity and inclusion at our company and identify new opportunities to feature more diverse talent across our stages.

  • Fostering Workplace Inclusion

We are proud of the contributions our Diversity and Inclusion Council program has made to our business in just a few short years. Each year, a cohort of employees is selected from internal nominations throughout our family of brands. This group explores topics related to workplace inclusion and helps the company’s senior leadership set annual and ongoing internal and external priorities for diversity and inclusion. Areas of impact have included policy changes in Human Resources, Leadership and Training, Operations, and more.

  • Promoting Volunteerism

In 2022, we implemented a VTO policy to provide all full-time employees paid time off to serve their communities, with a focus on youth education and disaster response.
